Thank you for visiting the website for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for the Prevention of Genocide and Other Crimes Against Humanity (Genocide Prevention Group). Whether you are a Parliamentarian, a Parliamentary staffer, or a member of civil society, we thank you for taking an interest in our group and in our work.

Genocide prevention is the fundamental test for the international community. It requires leadership and effort from Parliamentarians, professors, students and non-governmental organizations. Today, this work is as critical as ever, especially in the face of mass killing and systematic rape in Darfur, Sudan, and in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.

There are lessons learned from our past failures in Cambodia, Rwanda and Srebrenica. Our challenge is to support a growing international regime to thwart further atrocities and provide justice to survivors. We must ensure that the lessons are remembered, disseminated and applied.
